Categories

Our three award categories cover key aspects of implementing a successful sustainability initiative with your trading partners globally. We’re confident that you’ve mastered one or more of these key aspects within your initiative. Get ready to be recognized!

Outstanding Program Leadership

Recognizes one individual with outstanding contribution to driving a sustainable procurement initiative forward within their company. This award is nominated and selected by the EcoVadis’ team based on sustainable procurement program results and demonstrated excellence in program strategy and execution.

Best Value Chain Engagement

Acknowledges excellence in engaging trading partners in sustainability initiatives and honors best-in-class examples of driving internal engagement to roll out global sustainable procurement programs. This award will be selected by the independent jury panel and given out in two categories, considering factors such as reach, size and maturity.

Best Portfolio Sustainability Performance Improvement

Recognizes companies demonstrating the highest percentage of rated companies improving their sustainability performance. For the first time this year, three rewards will be granted representing performances in Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific. This category is not open for submissions, the award is granted based on the EcoVadis data.

Meet the Jury

Brigitte Monsou Tantawi
Brigitte Monsou Tantawi Former Director of Sustainable Value Chain, WBCSD

Dr. Monsou Tantawy is Vice President of Oxfam in France, where she’s in charge of international relations and president of Unicef Paris. She previously worked as director with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, vice president of Operational Efficiency for Unilever, following a career with Danone and Nabisco. Dr. Tantawy was EFQM Lead Assessor and Chairman of the EFQM Executive Committee.

Brigitte Monsou Tantawi
Godefroy Motte Managing Director, Adrialis Limited

Godefroy Motte is a seasoned global chemical industry executive. After 31 years at Eastman Chemical, he “retired” from his executive roles to pursue other interests and founded Adrialis Limited. As a member of Eastman’s Executive Board, he overlooks the regions, the global procurement and supply chain organizations and was appointed as the first Chief Sustainability Officer in January 2011.

Throughout his career, Godefroy has gained a wealth of experience relevant to sustainability, having led Eastman’s participation in the Chemical Industry initiative “Together for Sustainability”. He was also a member of the European Chemical Association (CEFIC) and a council member of the World Business Council for Sustainability.

Brigitte Monsou Tantawi
Luk Van Wassenhove Academic Director of the INSEAD Sustainable Operations Initiative

Professor Luk Van Wassenhove has a unique combination of CSR and sustainable procurement expertise. His research and teaching are concerned with operational excellence, sustainable procurement, quality, continual improvement and learning. He is Henry Ford Chaired Professor of Manufacturing and the Academic Director of the INSEAD Sustainable Operations Initiative and the INSEAD Humanitarian Research Group. Professor Van Wassenhove’s recent research focus is on closed-loop supply chains (product take-back and end-of-life issues) and disaster management (humanitarian logistics).
